Reed Education is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and dedicated Spanish MFL Teacher to join a secondary school in South Cumbria. This immediate start position is on a short-term basis and is ideal for someone with a robust understanding of the curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a dynamic learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
Deliver Spanish MFL lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels, with the opportunity to teach KS5 being advantageous.
Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and cater to the needs of all students.
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
Employ effective classroom management techniques to ensure a focused learning environment.
Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and strategies, contributing to the school’s language department’s success.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
Recent and relevant experience teaching Spanish MFL at KS3 and KS4, with KS5 experience being beneficial.
Demonstrated excellence in classroom practice with strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
A reliable and committed individual who is interested in working with students and can act as a positive role model.
Good interpersonal skills, trustworthiness, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
