Secrets Management DevOps Engineer
Lloyds Banking Group
Location: Leeds or London. Hybrid working arrangements, (currently at least 2 days per week in office)
Salary & Benefits: £77,301 - £85,890 base salary, plus competitive benefits package including 15% employer pension contribution, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays, access to share scheme and staff discounts.

What you’ll be involved in:
Lead and support the HashiCorp Vault service, roadmap development and infrastructure. Engineer solutions to improve the service by delivering additional features such as new secret engines, responding to production incidents, planning changes including upgrades and enhancements.
Be given opportunities to build knowledge and experience with HashiCorp Vault and the cloud platforms within the bank.
  • Reproducing and debugging customer issues by building or using existing test environments and tools
  • Communicate tactfully with customers; assemble and present information, providing diagnostic and resolution steps and conveying process and product guidance
  • Providing technical support for incidents, problems and changes
  • Continuously increase knowledge and help train the team on 3rd party technologies that integrate with Vault
  • New Vault proof of concepts and testing
  • Identify and communicate product usage trends, bugs and feature requests at weekly product engineering meetings
  • Document and record all activity with customers in accordance to both internal and external security standards
  • Contribute to product documentation, knowledge base, and bank standards
  • Continuously improve processes and tools in collaboration with the team
  • Support out of hours services through the On-Call rota
  • Understanding of Vault/Vault Enterprise and the interaction with other products within the Hashicorp Product Suite.

Essential skills and experience:
  • Shown systematic, logical and creative thinking skills
  • Evidence of passion for developing and implementing new insights and solutions
  • Methodical and detail orientated approach, capable of prioritising and handling multiple tasks
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of situations
  • An awareness and understanding of risk, controls and the associated impact
  • Experienced user of DevOps tooling to deliver applications and infrastructure
  • Well rounded knowledge and hands on experience of cloud platforms, ideally with either professional / Associate certified
  • Consumption or operational experience of HashiCorp Vault (OSS or Enterprise) in a production environment.
