Security and Compliance Specialist (Not remote)
Our client based in Northwest Leeds, a global organisation specialising in Consultancy services has an excellent opportunity for a Security and Compliance Specialist to improve their data protection and Compliance management capabilities in their Leeds Office. An excellent opportunity which will suit experienced professionals who are looking to be an integral part of the design and delivery of Microsoft 365 security solutions and who enjoys working in a busy environment for a fast-moving global business.
As Security and Compliance Specialist you’ll play a pivotal role in providing expertise and guidance in the management, configuration, and optimisation of Microsoft Purview across the organisation.
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Provide strategic guidance and hands-on expertise to cross-functional teams
- Configure and maintain Microsoft Purview solutions, to align with organisational goals and best practices
- Contribute to the development of data governance policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring compliance and data integrity
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data management requirements and establish effective controls, practices, and procedures
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate technical and non-technical users on Microsoft Purview functionality and best practices
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations to enhance data governance and data management initiatives
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data governance and metadata management
- Analysis of information security risk and issues of non-compliance
Essential Skills:
- 2+ years’ experience with Microsoft Purview, with a strong understanding of data governance, and data management concepts and best practices
- Proven track record of successfully managing and configuring Microsoft Purview in large- scale enterprise environments
- In-depth understanding of data management principles and best practices, including data quality,
data lineage, and data classification. - Experience in Information Security governance, risk and Compliance.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts
into practical solutions
Detailed knowledge in at least 3 of the following Purview areas:
- Information Protection / Sensitivity labelling
- Data Lifecycle Management
- Data Loss Prevention
- Insider Risk Management
- eDiscovery & Content Search
- Azure Information Protection
- Compliance Manager
Salary c£50K DOE
Monday – Friday based Leeds, LS18 – NOT REMOTE
