Job Summary

 

The role of Security Data Reporting Analyst is part of Information Security team reporting to the Manager of Cyber Risk and Audit. Cyber risk and audit team is responsible in manage cyber risks associated with the organization's information asset that transverse through Information Technology (IT) systems and digital business operations. 

In this role, successful candidate will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic security decisions. The candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from various sources to produce comprehensive reports and visualizations. The insights provided will guide stakeholders in understanding security trends, identifying opportunities, and addressing challenges across the organization.

This position is based at our Denton, Texas office.
Tetra Pak is not considering applicants who require domestic or international relocation.

What you will do

 

As a Security Data Reporting Analyst, you will do:

 

Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Designing, constructing, and maintaining the systems and infrastructure necessary for collecting, storing, processing, and analyzing.

  • Gather Security Data from multiple sources, including but not limited to assessments, logs, monitoring tools, projects and incident reports.

  • Transforming raw data into a format suitable for analysis. This includes cleaning, filtering, aggregating, and joining datasets as needed.

  • Analyze Security Data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that may indicate potential security threats or vulnerabilities.

  • Utilize statistical methods and data visualization techniques to present findings effectively.

  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy by performing regular quality checks and troubleshooting data discrepancies.

Report Generation:

  • Convert business requirements into BI context and design data models to convert raw data to meaningful insights.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to visualize key metrics and trends.

  • Produce regular and ad-hoc security reports for stakeholders.

  • Ensure reports are accurate, comprehensive, and delivered in a timely manner.

Continuous Monitoring and Improvement:

  • Monitor key security metrics and performance indicators to report the trending effectiveness of security measures.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to streamline data collection and reporting processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements and optimize reporting practices.

Compliance and Regulatory Reporting:

  • Support compliance efforts by generating reports and documentation required for regulatory audits and assessments.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and reporting techniques.

 

We believe you have

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, or related field.

  • Industry certifications such as Certified Analytics Professional, Microsoft Certified in Power BI or Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification will be a plus.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques

  • Power BI report builder, Power BI Desktop, Power Query Editor/DAX, Power BI data connector, Power BI Dashboard creation

  • Azure competence like Azure Analysis Services, Azure Data Bricks, Cosmos DB (to enable multi-mode databases for document and graph at the same time), Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, PowerShell/Python/SQL scripting, API familiarity.

  • Knowledge of database fundamentals such as multidimensional data-base design and ingesting data from APIs into Azure

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in data analysis or a similar role, preferably in a cybersecurity or IT environment. 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions under pressure.

  • Effective communication skills, ability to lead with informal authority when working with stakeholders.

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work in cross-functional and time-zone.
