AddressSecurity Engineer | Manchester (Hybrid) | Up to £60,000 (DOE)
This role will see you within a Global Cybersecurity firm where the Cyber and Information Security Team plays a crucial role in supporting internal business functions and external customer commitments.
As a Security Engineer, you’ll contribute to managing cyber risks and meeting business requirements within the Security Engineering Team. - Continuously improve cyber health, identifying opportunities for enhancement
- Support and maintain systems, including Defender for Endpoint, security solution deployment, patching, and application management
- Share professional expertise globally, serving as a key focal point for cyber and information security risk management
- Contribute to the investigation, development, and adoption of cybersecurity technologies, processes, policies, and best practices
- Work on both Business as Usual (BAU) and Project tasks assigned to the Security Engineering Team
- Collaborate closely with the Security Program Team when required
Skills you’ll be bringing:
- Prior knowledge or experience in IT Security roles
- Ability to work confidently and unassisted
- Aptitude to quickly absorb technical details of new or unfamiliar technologies
- Knowledge of cloud environments, with a focus on architecting and securing Azure, especially Azure AD
- Strong communication skills to explain security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

- Multiple hypervisor and guest server operating systems (VMware, Citrix, Windows Server, SQL Server)
- Active Directory, including Red Forest/PAWS architectures

- Endpoint protection technology, particularly Microsoft 365 Defender
- Knowledge of Email security technology, particularly Microsoft Defender for Office 365

- Azure, including Azure AD
