About the Role
As a member of the Security Implementation Engineering Team your main responsibility will be the successful delivery of Security Projects and BAU technical delivery through building excellent relationships with Project Managers to ensure successful project outcomes. You will clearly communicate technical risks, dependencies and tasks to the Virtual 1 Project Manager and our Partners
What you will be working on
Core Tasks
- Working as part of the Security Engineering Implementation (EI) team to ensure the Virtual1 Provisioning Process is streamlined and provides a seamless customer experience
- Following the V1 Delivery Methodology and working with the V1 Project Manager to agree tasks and plans.
- Ensuring project documentation is up to date and relevant to the project (DCF, Visio Diagrams)
- Attending customer status meetings and leading customer discovery workshops
- Working with the Project Engineering team on CPE/Core configuration, port configuration, IP address assignment and similar activity
- Owning all elements of the Technical deliverables from initial build through to Test and Turn ups and Modifys.
- Ensure Build Processes/ Governance is being followed
- Pre Staging Fortinet Devices.
- Template creation in FortiManager
- Supporting customer migrations in and out of standard business hours
- Working with the V1 Security Specialist to ensure project technical requirements are technically approved and tested.
Additional Responsibilities
- Ensure all related record-keeping is maintained to a high level of accuracy and in a timely fashion
- Produce Visio diagrams and additional supportive documentation for partners when required.
- Support the V1 Partner, Customer, and Pre Sales team in the completing of the Firewall configuration form.
- Other work as assigned by the Senior Leadership team from time to time

- Strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills; gathers evidence, investigates solutions, considers implications for the business goal-orientated
- Understanding the role and how it contributes to business goals and targets
- Builds relationships both internally and externally across different cultures
- Establish creditability with Customers and Partners using appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Knowledge & Experience
- Background in Telecommunication environment
- Fortinet Experience is highly desirable "Forti Manager, Forti Analyzer, Forti Portaland Forgate"
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of networking topologies and routing protocols
- Confident in the levels of the OSI model and how it relates to MPLS and VPLS
- Process and Teamwork oriented approach with both internal and external customers
- Experience with using business tools such as TEAMS, Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience dealing directly with customers
