Security Installation Engineer

A forward thinking, well established organisation who offer bespoke services to exclusive cients are looking for a Security Installation engineer for the Bedfordshire region.

About the Role:
Must have knowledge in CCTV Systems, Access Control & Intruder Alarms. Must also have experience in supporting a team of engineers.

The position would suit someone who has the advanced installation skills and wants to grow and move forward as the company expands.

As a member of the Security Installation team, you will be responsible for undertaking various new installation, pre-planned and reactive maintenance works encompassing either, CCTV, Access Control, or Intruder Alarm Systems.

You must demonstrate a knowledge of Security System British/EN Standard.
You will take responsibility for all assigned projects from commencement to completion.

Role Type: Full-time, Permanent.
Salary: GBP34,000 - GBP40,000 Per Annum, Depending on Experience.
Location: Bedford, Bedfordshire.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities are to:

•Installation, servicing / maintenance, testing, commissioning of Intruder Alarm Systems IP Surveillance Systems and Access Control Systems or related equipment, follow schematic drawings and building plans and relevant Codes of Practice/Policies.
•Providing a quality installation in the most methodical and efficient manner, including the ability to digest detailed scope of works and working drawings.
•Production of high-quality commissioning and handover documentation.
•Always maintaining safe work environment and have a good understanding of Health and Safety i.e., Method, Risk assessments, safe working procedures etc.
•Client training and demonstration of systems
Person Specification:
Technical Competencies - Essential
•at least 3 years previous experience in a Security Installation role.
• a general knowledge of Security Systems - Intruder Alarms, Access control, CCTV, and Intercom
•Demonstrate strong communication skills.
•Sound administration skills with an understanding of the importance of paperwork and the accuracy and timeliness of submission of same.
•Full Driving License
•Employment will be subject to successful BS7858 security screening and Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
•Must be willing to work away from time to time. Technical Competencies Desirable
•Knowledge of IP Systems / Networking is preferable.
•Knowledge of various manufacturers equipment: Hikvision, AXIS, Paxton, Honeywell, Texecom.
•Manufacturers training for any of the following: Hikvision, AXIS, Paxton, Honeywell, Texecom.
