Security Leading Officer

About The Role

JOB PURPOSE

The position requires dedicated security professionals who are able to maintain high standards of performance, discipline, and appearance. You will ensure that assigned tasks are completed in a professional and timely manner and meet relevant legislations and will be able to fit into a team that performs to high standards and provides high visibility Security Static and Mobile Guarding at the properties/building and surrounding grounds.

You will be working on a rotational basis of, 6 days on, 2 days off, 6 nights, 4 days off , 07:00 to 19:00, on a permanent full-time basis, 56 hours per week. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Comply with the adopted Code of Practice and service operational procedures at all times, breaches of which will result in disciplinary action being taken.
• Report any incidents that occur immediately to the Police or report to another relevant agency and provide support/commentary to the Police and/or other relevant agency.
• To operate and monitor the CCTV systems to activate and manage access control in line with the client requirements.
• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills, along with the ability to pay attention to detail whilst remaining calm, patient and professional.
• Must be able to work under pressure and be able to make decisive decisions during incidents and difficult situations.
• Maintain vigilance and highlight/manage unauthorised access by banned persons.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
• Maintain a healthy and safe place of work, ensuring all posts are always in a clean and tidy condition.
• Providing high visibility Static Guarding or Mobile Guarding of the property/building and grounds.
• Ensure that all OCS policies, procedures, and standards are in place and adhered to.
• Exemplary standards in personal grooming, strictly adhering to the site uniform requirements.
• Continuously look for opportunities to be of assistance to visitors and staff at the building proactively offering assistance wherever opportunities arise.
• Intelligent understanding of human behaviour, monitoring, and surveillance of suspect individuals logging and reporting incidents in line with site and company policies.

Requirements :

• Security Industry Qualifications - Front line SIA/CCTV Licence for Security Officers.
• Covering Security Control Room
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be able to demonstrate and deliver high-quality guarding and excellent customer service to both our clients and service users.
• All applicants who are offered employment will be subject to a criminal record check (Disclosure) from the Criminal Records Bureau before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of ALL cautions, reprimands, or final warnings as well as convictions, whether "spent" or "unspent". Criminal convictions will only be considered when they are relevant to the post.
• An understanding of basic Police and other Emergency Services procedures.
• Experience of hand-held radio use and use of phonetics.
• First aid at work certificate.
• You will be vigilant and alert, able to use caution, and apply an inquisitive mindset to your duties.
• Knowledge of PACE (Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984)
