· 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off rotation
· 12hr shift pattern
This role will report directly to the Facilities Manager and you will be expected to work with minimal supervision, once you've been inducted.
Duties will involve the following:
- Patrol the premises to detect and prevent intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows and gates.
- Answer alarms and investigate disturbances
- Perform documentation of operations and ongoing events
- Call police and fire departments in cases of emergency and or the presence of threat
- Administer first aid when required
- Make tannoy announcements when required
- Answer internal and external phone calls
- Responsible for the well being of the guard dog
Essential skills, experience and knowledge:
The successful candidate must:
- Take pride and consideration in their customer service skills over the phone and face to face
- Be PC capable and able to perform basic computer tasks e.g. email
- Strong communicative skills, quick thinking and ability to deal with situations as they arise
- Be comfortable with dogs
- Have an astute attention to detail
- Capacity to work independently and make decisions
- Be able to work night shift and unsociable hours, and occasionally work extra to complete handovers.
