Security Officer

About the role

Title – Security officer

Pay Rate – £11.95 per hour.

Location – Hounslow however you will be required to travel to different sites (travel will be paid for if travel exceeds over an hour)

Shift Timings – 04:00 to 14:00, 14:00 to 23:00 shift work, OR 12 hour shifts starting at 05:00 or 06:00 or 07:00 – this is 25-35 hours per week, and then you will be given shifts in other security sites to boost your hours up to around 40 hours per week .

Duties - securing the premises and personnel by staying on patrol, monitoring surveillance equipment, performing building inspections, guarding entry points, and verifying visitors .

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Security of the airport restricted zone – access control.
• ID checks.
• X-ray screening of staff and passenger bags, both hold and cabin baggage.
• Bag and body search of staff and passengers.
• Vehicle search/checks.
• Patrolling the airport perimeter.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following :

• Valid SIA License
• Good communication skills
• Be willing to stand/patrol
• Customer service experience
• Be friendly and approachable
• Be vigilant, and willing to carry out all tasks
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
