About the Role
Supporting the Head of Campus Security, you will oversee a professional, efficient, and high-profile security operation providing 24/7 services across the University. Key responsibilities include managing a large security team, enhancing operational efficiency and service delivery, and contributing to business continuity and incident management procedures.
Your expertise will influence decision-making and offer practical solutions to security-related issues. Additionally, you will foster a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence within the Campus Security team.
This role is within the Security & Compliance department, part of the Estates, Facilities & Capital Developments Directorate, which supports the University's operational needs.
About You
You will be capable of operating at a senior level and managing a diverse security operation within a large organization. Key attributes include:
- Highly organized and self-motivated.
- Must have a degree or equivalent.
- Must have at extensive experience of managing teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Experience with the latest security technology and systems.
- Ability to manage tight and conflicting deadlines while maintaining first-class service.
- Strong relationship-building skills with colleagues, external partners, and law enforcement.
Salary Grade 9 (£46,974 to £54,395)
