We will provide you with a fleet vehicle, insurance and uniform at no cost. Although you must have your own reliable transport to the vehicle lockup near the depot.
As we primarily cover Lincoln South and surrounding villages, the positions are extremely attractive and would cover less than 100 miles per day. An average working day is between 9-10 hours depending on shift and candidates speed. Start times vary from 6:00 and 7:30 from Witham St. Hughs and days of work are 5 out of 7 which is to be liased upon application. One of the 5 days must be a Saturday and/or Sunday. Part-time positions can also be offered.
This role is on a self-employed basis and will need to be registered with the Government correctly. Candidates will receive a set day rate with accelerator bonuses upon reaching a certain amount of deliveries. Pay exceeds national minimum wage rates and candidate has the ability to earn bonuses daily. Drivers are paid every 4 weeks through BACS. This includes 13 pay days throughout the financial year.
As we are a part of the UK’s most successful collecting and delivery company, the candidate is to understand the nature of the job and be able to meet the physical demands daily. The job requires you to scan up, load your van and deliver parcels within the ETA time frames as well as collect from businesses on your route. All of these requirements go hand in hand with fantastic customer service skills, presentation and drive to represent the company.
As we primarily cover central Lincoln and surrounding areas, drivers must be prepared for manual handling and speed.
Candidate must be over 25+ due to vehicle insurance purposes and hold a license for a minimum of 2 years. We cannot accept any candidates with more than 6 points on their licenses. Experience preferred but not necessary as full training will be given.
A DBS check will be conducted prior to start date and must be clear of any convictions, pending or confirmed.
