Lizzie Norris Seamstress is a small sewing business in Faringdon, Oxfordshire. We provide a relaxed but professional environment for customers to have clothing alterations completed all the way from trouser hems to Wedding Dresses. With a shop front, large fitting room and sewing room we specialise in Bridal alterations.
A small business with a constantly busy sewing room, we are looking for a freelance seamstress to join our growing on site team to work one day a week with the option of extra hours during our busy periods.
Our work environment includes:
- Shop Floor
- Sewing Room
- Tea and Coffee making facilities
We are looking for a seamstress to complete minor alterations as well as skilled bridal alterations. The perfect candidate must have experience working with bridal alterations and have a very high standard of sewing skills, both machine and hand sewing.
Responsibilities
- Read and understand alteration instructions
- Complete Alterations to a high standard
- Follow pinning and written sewing instructions accurately
- Work well under tight time constraints
- Be a team player
- Keep work area clean and organised
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Take initiative to problem solve
Experience
- Bridal Alterations Experience is essential
- 5+ years of bridal sewing minimum
- Clothing alterations
Job Types: Part-time, Freelance
Salary: £12.00-£14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 7 per week
