Are you passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Our schools in Wickford are seeking dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEMH Support Workers to join our team immediately. This is an exciting opportunity to provide essential support to students and help them overcome barriers to learning. As a 1:1 SEMH Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in helping students thrive academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:

• As a 1:1 SEMH Support Worker, you will work closely with students to provide tailored support and interventions based on their individual needs.
• Assist students in developing coping strategies and emotional regulation skills to manage challenging behaviours.
• Build positive relationships with students, providing encouragement and support to help them reach their full potential.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to create personalised support plans for students.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the wider team to ensure continuity of support.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs is preferred but not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
• Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with students who may display challenging behaviours.
• Relevant qualifications or training in education, psychology, or social work is desirable.
