Are you passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Our SEMH schools in Colchester are seeking dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEMH Support Workers to join our team immediately. Key Responsibilities:
- As a 1:1 SEMH Support Worker, you will work closely with students with SEMH needs, providing individualised support and guidance.
- Build positive relationships with students, helping them develop coping strategies and emotional regulation skills.
- Implement behavior management techniques and support students in managing challenging behaviours.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement personalised support plans.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience in supporting students through challenging situations.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education, psychology, or counselling is desirable.
