As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you'll play a pivotal role in providing tailored support and guidance to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
About the Role:
- Assist the class Teacher in creating learning plans and in lessons to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Help foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being and builds confidence.
- Collaborate with other educators and parents to ensure holistic support for students.
- Utilize creative teaching methods and resources to engage students and facilitate their academic and personal growth.
- Monitor student progress and adapt accordingly to maximize learning outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience working with SEMH students preferred.
- Strong understanding of SEMH challenges and effective strategies for supporting students.
- Empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
