Role Overview:
- SEMH Teaching Assistant
- Full time, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
- Location: Hillingdon, London
- Working with children aged 11-16 years old with special needs such as ADHD, SEMH, ASD, and complex needs
- Providing support and assistance in a school setting focusing on behaviour management and emotional support
Requirements:
- Experience working with challenging teenagers, ideally in a school setting
- Experience in youth work, youth support work, or with young offenders is desirable
- Passion for supporting young learners with social and emotional mental health needs
- Understanding of safeguarding protocols and procedures
- Empathy towards the trauma that children face, which may manifest in volatile behavior
- Experience with SEN (Special Educational Needs) is desirable
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- Must not require sponsorship
