Smile Education, Northwest are working with an “OUTSTANDING” Primary school in the Liverpool. They are looking for a SEMH Teaching Assistant, to working within foundation & Key Stage 1.
You will be part of a professional team, who are all focused on supporting teaching and learning on a 1:1 basis. Also, be offering specialist assistance to pupils who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning, such as those with moderate, severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties and / or behavioural and social development.
The main purpose of this role is to provide support for children with complex needs to be fully included in all aspects of school life.
You must already have…
- Experience working with children, within a school or nursery environment.
- UK experience is essential.
- Hold a valid UK qualification, working with children and young people.
- Early years’ experience is desirable.
- You must have a understanding of the EYFS.
They can offer security with this role as it is a long-term position for at least 1 academic year but will most like continue.
The successful candidate must have:
- 2 education-based references
- A passion for teaching / supporting.
- Good approach to behaviour management
- A determined, hard-working attitude
- Your own personal consultant, contactable for any inquiries or support.
