We are currently recruiting for a passionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialised SEMH school in Tower Hamlets. Catering for students aged 14-19 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, this role offers a chance to make a significant impact in the lives of young people.
Responsibilities:
· Provide classroom support to students with SEMH.
· Offer one-to-one assistance for students requiring additional support.
· Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for SEMH students.
· Support students in managing their social, emotional, and mental health needs.
· Serve as a positive role model, promoting constructive behaviour and attitudes.
· Collaborate with the wider school community, including parents/carers and professionals.
Requirements:
· Previous experience working with children and young people with SEMH.
· Strong understanding of SEMH needs and effective support strategies.
· Proficient in behaviour management techniques.
· Enthusiastic about supporting young people with SEMH.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
This is a temporary position with potential for extension. The salary ranges from £80-£100 per day (PAYE), depending on experience and qualifications.
