Semi-Senior Accountant

Semi-Senior Accountant | Coventry | £25,000-£35,000 | Hybrid

Macildowie are delighted to partner with fantastic, busy and rapidly expanding accountancy practice based in the heart of Coventry.

They are looking to add a talented and motivated Semi-Senior Accountant to their team who can not only fulfil the usual day-to-day tasks of a confident semi-senior, but also show their progression possibilities by managing a team of up to five juniors.

If you are a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) or part qualified with three to five years of UK based accountancy practice experience, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and concerns.
• Review Duties: Ensure accuracy in payrolls and pensions prepared by junior staff.
• Financial Review: Potentially oversee VAT returns and Year-End financials in the near future.
• Client Assistance: Provide technical assistance to clients, ensuring timely task completion.
• Workload Management: Allocate tasks within the team to meet deadlines.
• Technical Support: Offer guidance to team members to help them achieve their goals.
• Performance Monitoring: Track team performance to ensure high-quality results.
• Self-Assessments: Conduct self-assessments as required.
• Client Onboarding: Effectively integrate new clients into our services.
• Team and Management Support: Provide necessary support to both the team and management.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in accounting, ideally five or more.
• Qualification: Partially or fully qualified accountant (Preferred).
• Leadership: Proven experience leading a small team.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
• Detail-Oriented: Keen attention to detail and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
