AddressAndy File Associates are pleased to be advertising this Semi-Senior Accountant role on behalf of our client. This role will involve 37.5 hours of work per week and the successful candidate will receive a pay of up to £35k, depending on experience and number of exams remaining. Our client's offices are located in Oldham and Doncaster, with an option to work remotely after settling in.
The primary responsibilities for this position include:
- Advanced bookkeeping - experience with Quickbooks and Xero is essential
- Year-end accounts for companies
- VAT and corporation tax returns
- Personal tax returns
- Bank, PAYE, and VAT reconciliations
- Fixed assets and depreciation
- Accruals and prepayments
- Filing VAT returns to HMRC
- Year-end journals
- Payroll
- Management account prep to review stage
- Feedback to junior staff
- Liaising with clients by phone, email, Zoom
- Task delegation and deadline management
- To hit quantity and quality KPIs as set out by the business
The successful candidate for this role must be highly motivated and have a minimum of two years’ experience in an accounting firm. It is desirable for candidates to have an AAT Qualification, or be a Part-Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW. Other necessary skills include:
