Our client based in Chesterfield are now recruiting for 5 x Semi-Skilled Machine Operator (forklift licence or experience an advantage) to join their existing team, initially starting off in a temporary capacity with the prospects to go permanent for the right candidate.

The company supplies cut-to-size, chamfered, machined, profiled and water jet-cut material via a local, national and international service. They also produce non-standard sizes by cutting round bar utilising unique processing methods.
Job Details:
Day to day you will be working along side the Bandsaw operator, stamping billets and packing the billets ready for dispatch. You will be using machinery to stamp billets and training will be given for the steel cutting machinery. There will be heavy lifting too (They do have lifting equipment to assist with heavier lifting). PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A LABOUR INTENSE POSITION AND IF YOU HOLD A FORKLIFT LICENCE OR HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH FORKLIFTS THIS IS AN ADVANTAGE.
Hours of work: 06.00-14.30 and 14.30 to 22.00 (rotating) Early finish on Fridays 10am day shift and 1pm afternoon shift Your duties will involve: Packing products to be dispatched to customers. Ensuring all space is maximised in the warehouse Ensuring all dispatch notes are complete and accurate before dispatch Heaving lifting operating machinery Teamwork General housekeeping duties. Stamping billits General house keeping duties Use of lifting machinery for heavier products (Training will be given) A current FLT licence or experience with forklifts ( An advantage) Machine experience (An advantage)
