Seeking an enthusiastic SEN Behaviour Support Assistant! Are you excited about supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) in managing their behaviours and achieving their full potential?
If you have a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of children and possess excellent communication and empathetic skills, we invite you to join the dedicated team at a brilliant SEN school in Croydon as an SEN Behaviour Support Assistant!

For this SEN Behaviour Support Assistant role, you will:

• Work closely with students with SEN, providing one-on-one or group support to help them manage their behaviours effectively.
• Implement individualized Behaviour Support plans, tailored to the specific needs of each student.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other professionals to develop strategies and interventions to support students' behavioural needs.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor progress towards goals.
• Provide feedback and guidance to teachers and parents on behaviour management techniques and strategies.

For this role, you will need:

• Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEN, preferably in a school or educational setting.
• A compassionate and patient approach when working with students with behavioural challenges.
• Good understanding of SEN and knowledge of various behavioural support techniques.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to different learning environments.
• Basic knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to SEN in an educational setting.
