Sen - Ks3 & Ks4 Teacher

Reed is currently working with a secondary age Pupil Referral Unit, to provide high quality teaching and learning and a trauma informed approach to all pupils, who have social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). We believe in young people and their potential to achieve.

We are looking for general teachers who can teach across the curriculum and across the key stages, from March/April 2024. You will be able to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons, adapt to the needs and interests of our pupils, and work collaboratively with our staff team and external agencies. You will also have a positive attitude, a sense of humour, and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils.

We offer a pay rate of £157.66 -200 per day (dependent on experience), long term and short-term roles available, and a range of benefits such as professional development, mentoring, and well-being support. Day-to-day of the role:

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across the curriculum and key stages.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs and interests of pupils.
• Work collaboratively with staff and external agencies to support pupil development.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes learning and wellbeing.
• Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Ability to teach across different subjects and key stages.
• Experience in adapting teaching to cater to pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
• Strong classroom management skills and a positive approach to challenging behaviour.
• A sense of humour and a positive attitude towards education.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
