Vision for Education is looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant to join our successful team working in local secondary schools in Colchester and surrounding areas. We can offer, full time and part time roles with flexible start dates to suit the successful candidate.
About the roleThe desired SEN Teaching Assistant will demonstrate excellent communication skills, engagement with pupils and will gain extensive experience working alongside excellent practitioners who put children at the heart of everything they do.
You will be required to support the delivery of learning to students across both Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) in a variety of subject areas. Furthermore, you will be required to support students on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and whole class activities whilst ensuring learning materials are prepared and adapted to suit the needs of those with learning difficulties.

RequirementsTo be considered for the role of SEN Secondary Teaching Assistant you will:
- Have a desire to support young people with special educational needs and disabilities
- Have a caring, positive and flexible attitude
- Understand the needs of students with learning difficulties
- Have or be willing to pay for an Enhanced DBS on the update service
- Be reliable in both attendance and punctuality
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Experience working with children
