We are currently looking to recruit a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join a friendly team in an outstanding SEN school in Nottingham. The school caters for children aged 4-19 with an Autism diagnosis and associated social, communication, and learning difficulties. The school prides itself on providing a supportive and inclusive environment for both staff and students. They aim to provide an education which focuses on each pupils’ individual needs and prepares them for later life.
About this Teacher Role:
As an SEN Teacher, you will play an important part in nurturing the academic, social, and emotional development of children with a range of additional needs. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and outside agencies, and you will be instrumental in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering lessons which are tailored to the individual needs of the students
- Working alongside the SENDCo, teaching assistants, parents, and outside agencies, to ensure that the needs of all students are met
- Preparing learning resources
- Supporting the overall wellbeing and happiness of the pupils
- Helping to create an inclusive, warm, and supportive learning environment.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), ECTS are encouraged to apply
- Experience working with individuals with special educational needs
- A passion for supporting children with special educational needs
