At Pivot we believe children deserve better. In our academies we teach and support children and young people from Key Stages 1 – 4 who have been excluded from school, for whom mainstream education is simply not working, or those with an EHCP who require a specialist placement. Every day our teams do incredible work, making a huge difference to some of the most complex and challenging children, many of whom come to us with some traumatic backgrounds.
Our lower and upper schools in Leeds East support learners, aged 7 to 16, who have a wide range of complex needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health concerns, Special Educational Needs and those students who have Education, Health and Care Plans in place. We also support those on the autism spectrum and those with communication difficulties. Our learners follow the National Curriculum, as well as taking part in activities which are personalised to meet their individual needs.
We have an exciting opportunity for two dedicated and resilient practitioners to join our team in Leeds. As a teacher, you will promote and engage with students across a range of subjects, delivering quality education to learners.
Our class sizes are very small with high adult to pupil ratios and we are looking for reflective practitioners with a strong passion for helping every learner in their care reach their full potential. We are seeking candidates who are able to work effectively with the team of teaching staff, support staff and behaviour mentors to assist across all aspects of the curriculum to promote a healthy and supportive working environment. A subject specialism can be considered for these roles.
Working at Pivot will give you a real chance to change our student’s lives and we truly believe you will find working here a rewarding experience.
Don’t miss this opportunity, apply now completing an application form, which can be downloaded from our website at https://pivot-group.uk/recruitment.
Closing Date: 11 March 2024
We are committed to safeguarding our young people and promoting the welfare of children and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service check and appropriate referencing.
During the shortlisting process, Pivot will carry out an online search on shortlisted candidates as part of its due diligence.
