SEN Teaching Assistant

Step Teachers are collaborating with a SEN school in Cambridge to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant, long-term with the possibility of going to perm starting in September.

Are you a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant who wants to make a difference in the lives of students with complex needs? Do you have experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant working with individuals who require additional support in an educational setting? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! You're anticipated to organize lessons within this framework, making the most of the materials and budget at your disposal. Time for planning is designated within the timetable.

SEN Teaching Assistant Role:

• Work effectively with other members of staff in the classroom and throughout the school
• Assist the boy with his daily needs and support him with lessons 
• Ability to support students in a small group environment and one-to-one basis, and encourage their progression
• Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively as an SEN Teaching Assistant

Requirements:

• A minimum of a level 2 credit TA qualification 
• Good communication skills and ability to work to set policy and procedure
• Able to work and cater to the individual needs of the student 
• Have previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant
