We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a well-respected Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance programme at a SEN secondary school. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs and helping them prepare for their future careers.
Day-to-day of the role:- Assist in the delivery of the school’s Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance programme.
- Work closely with students, providing one-to-one support and group activities to help them understand different career paths and opportunities.
- Support the coordination of work experience placements and career events.
- Help students develop key skills for the workplace, such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with teachers, career advisors, and external partners to enhance the careers programme.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and contributing to reports.
- Create an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within a SEN setting.
- Strong understanding of careers education and the current job market.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
- Organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
