Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Salary: £75-£90 per day
Contract Type: Temporary, Full-time
Reed Education is currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a fantastic school in Wakefield. This is a temporary role with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
The role involves supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and speech and language difficulties. You will work closely with the class teacher and the SENCo to ensure that pupils receive the support they need to achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
- Developing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for pupils
- Monitoring pupils' progress and reporting to the teacher and SENCo
- Supporting pupils with social and emotional difficulties
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary or secondary school
- Knowledge and understanding of a range of SEN and disabilities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and adaptability
