Job Title - SEND Assessment and Review Officer

Location - Greenwich, FULLY OFFICE BASED

Pay - £25.75 Per Hour Umbrella Rate

We're on the hunt for a dynamic CYP SEN Assessment & Review Officer to champion the Children and Families Act 2014 across our schools. Lead the charge in transforming lives with top-tier needs assessments, inspiring EHC Plans, and unwavering support for families and schools.

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate: Work together with parents, carers, children, and young people to make the assessment process transparent and inclusive.
• Guide: Partner with schools, offering expert advice and challenge to refine needs assessments and Reviews.
• Create: Develop standout EHC Plans with families that minimize legal challenges and set high aspirations.
• Manage: Oversee a diverse caseload, adapting to the evolving needs of SEND children and young people.
• Lead: Conduct and steer multi-agency meetings to craft holistic outcomes for EHC Plans.
• Organize: Keep meticulous records and supervise the case coordinator's daily work.

Who You Are:

• Educated: Strong general education, ideally to 'A' level, including GCSE English.
• Experienced: Hands-on experience with SEND processes in a local authority, creating EHC Plans, and working directly with educational institutions.
• Knowledgeable: Deep understanding of education systems, SEND reforms, and relevant legislation (Education Act 1996, Children and Families Act 2014, SEN Code of Practice 2015).
• Skilled: Exceptional communicator, resilient in the face of challenges, and proficient with word processing and database tools.
