The Governors of Dryden and Hill Top Learning Federation seek to appoint a vibrant, enthusiastic and successful teacher to join our well established, experienced, supportive and dedicated staff team. You will have responsibility for a class within the main body of school, delivering a highly adapted National Curriculum. As with all posts in school, you must have the flexibility to work anywhere in the school. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking Federation.
You will be an excellent classroom practitioner with a commitment to meeting the needs of young people with learning difficulties and deliver a full range of subjects to these pupils. Candidates should be able to rise to challenges and have a calm, creative and flexible approach to their practice.
We are looking for a successful and enthusiastic teacher who has a commitment to ensuring pupils and students make the very best progress.
We need you to be:
- Committed, creative and enthusiastic
- An excellent classroom practitioner
- Skills and knowledge in all areas of Independent Living
- Able to lead work with other staff
- Able to demonstrate good organisational skills and abilities to meet deadlines
- Able to work as part of a team (at all levels)
Hill Top School is a secondary special school, it provides education for pupils with moderate learning difficulties aged 11-19 and with the autism centre a range of pupils with moderate to severe learning difficulties and autistic spectrum disorder.
Applicants would benefit from experience of and/or have a genuine interest in working with young people who have a range of learning difficulties and disabilities.
Hill Top School is committed to the protection and safety of all pupils and students and will implement a rigorous recruitment process. The successful applicant will be subject to a DBS check at the enhanced level.
