Job title: SEND Hub Lead Salary: CSET 8 £30,269 FTE, £24,628 prorated Hours: 35 per week, 39 weeks of the year (term time only + INSET) Contract Type: Permanent Location: Mangotsfield School, BS16 9LH
About the role As SEND Hub Lead you will be leading a team of SEND Education Support staff, supporting those students requiring interventions. You will deliver interventions, track student and staff progress, deliver training and share best practice within the department. Occasionally you will support students within the classroom. You will lead APDR meetings and support your line manager with the EHCP process. You’ll communicate with parents and third parties about student needs and progress. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and ambitious team supporting a diverse group of students. About you You will be personable, approachable and able to quickly develop warm and effective relationships with students, colleagues and stakeholders across the trust. You’ll be adaptable, have the ability to work effectively to meet changing needs in your environment. It is essential that you have experience with working with children, particularly those who have experienced trauma. You’ll be naturally empathetic and have a good understanding of how to support students' needs. You need strong literacy skills to provide regular, accurate communications with parents and external stakeholders. As part of this role you will be line managing a team of SEND support staff, so experience or an interest in managing people is key and our people team can support you with line management training.
