We are looking for a skilled SEND teacher with drive, enthusiasm and resilience to join our successful and supportive teaching team. This post will involve teaching children with a range of learning needs, including those with profound and multiple learning needs, on the wards. This is an opportunity for talented teachers with a minimum of two consecutive years’ experience in a special school to develop their teaching in a truly unique setting. We are looking to appoint individuals with a positive outlook and a proactive attitude.

The role is varied and will include:
- collaborative working alongside a range of School and NHS staff
- highly adaptive, personalised teaching, planning and assessing
- teaching small groups or individuals based on the wards
- involvement in leading staff CPD
‘Teaching staff are highly trained in working in a hospital environment. This includes knowing how to adapt learning to meet a range of medical needs, as well as supporting those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Staff liaise with pupils’ healthcare professionals and with the pupils themselves. This ensures that learning is always a high priority.’ OFSTED Nov 23
