Hays Education have recently seen an increased need for local qualified SEND teachers in schools across Leicestershire for day-to-day and long-term supply with the potential for permanent roles and contracts thereafter.
Here at Hays, we work with several schools across Leicestershire, covering Leicester City Centre, Oakham, Coalville, Hinkley, Lutterworth, Market Harborough, Uppingham, Melton Mowbray, Loughborough, and all areas in between! This means, as a teacher working through Hays, you will have local work in your local area covering local schools that only you want to work in.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and resilient individual to join the school's newly re-energised team and wider pastoral staff. The provision will provide an opportunity for students to reflect upon their behaviour, address any barriers to learning, reduce the risk of exclusion, raise aspirations, and foster successful student outcomes. It thus provides an exciting opportunity to make a demonstrable impact on the lives of some of the schools' most vulnerable students.
Your new role
We are currently recruiting for a full-time SEND Teacher (KS1+2) to join the team ASAP on a temporary basis with the opportunity for a permanent contract upon successful completion of the placement. We are looking for exceptional people who thrive in working in challenging settings, to work with the schools’ exceptional pupils.

The appointed person will be expected to make a real and positive impact on the lives of children who have a range of care needs, life experiences and personalities that makes every day varied and interesting. You will be able to successfully build trusting student relationships and motivate and encourage student(s) as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with living and learning tasks as appropriate.
What you'll need to succeed
You will hold QTS or equivalent qualifications. Previous demonstrable experience working with children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs and challenging behaviour. Proven experience of planning, delivering, and marking lessons and students' work.
