This role involves aiding students with challenging behaviours and autism. Primary Responsibilities:
- ASD Support: Tailored assistance for non-verbal children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Engagement Tactics: Implement communication strategies using visual aids for enhanced learning.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with staff to create tailored education plans for non-verbal children with ASD.
- Progress Tracking: Assess and track development, collaborating for optimal learning adjustments.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
- Desirable: Previous experience working with children in a school environment.
- Excellent understanding of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, challenging behaviours, and developmental delays.
- Calm demeanour in challenging situations.
- Quick thinking and ability to act independently and as part of a team.
- Strong behaviour management skills, creating a positive and enjoyable learning environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
