A great SEND Provision based in Brent are looking to expand their team to support their learners with resistant behaviour or SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) needs as a SEND Teaching Assistant.
You will play a vital role in positively impacting their education and development, as well as gaining extensive experience working within an educational environment.
SEND Teaching Assistant | The role:
- Supporting students with complex needs in their academic and personal growth, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Implementing tailored education plans and behaviour strategies to support students progress.
- Promoting independence, equality, diversity, and respect.
- Taking a responsive and caring approach.
- Previous experience working with children who have complex needs is required.
- Degree educated (from a UK University) or health and social care background.
- Someone with good literacy and numeracy skills, that can communicate effectively with young people who have learning disabilities.
- Emotional intelligence and resilience with the ability to react calmly in challenging situations.
