Academics are working with a Primary school in Grays, Essex, who are currently looking to appoint an SEND TA. This school offer excellent support and training so will be a great opportunity for the New Year. This will be a part time time, long term position.

This is a long term Teaching Assistant role with the view to move to a permanent contract for the right candidate. The school are ideally looking for someone with School experience, but will be happy with people who have transferable skills, Graduate and Experienced Teaching Assistants are welcome to apply.

The Role:

• Working collaboratively with the class teacher to provide excellent learning to all pupils with a range of abilities
• Providing support and assistance to individual students or small groups
• Supervising pupils outside the classroom during lunchtime, field trips or break time
• You may be required to work collaboratively with outside specialists, adopting a multi-agency approach

The Applicant:

• Hold a current DBS on the update service or be willing to have one processed
• A Teaching Assistant or other relevant qualification is desirable but not a necessity
• Knowledge of the additional needs that a child with SEND may have, and how to support them
• The applicant should be a patient, compassionate, calm, and approachable individual who is good at building rapport with pupils
• You must have a desire to make a difference to young people lives
• Have experience working with children or young people
• Have GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths and
