We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring SENDCo to join the team at one of our 11-16 co-educational school. Day to Day of the role:- Lead the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision within the academy, ensuring all students have access to high-quality learning opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create personalised learning plans for students with SEND.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND strategies and interventions, adapting approaches as necessary to meet the needs of all learners.
- Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff to implement effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Act as an advocate for students with SEND, ensuring their voices are heard and their educational experiences are positive and inclusive.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and development of the SEND policy and practice within the academy.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong understanding of SEND best practices.
- Experience in a SENDCo role or a similar position within an educational setting.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students, staff, and the wider school community.
- Commitment to driving up standards and expectations to ensure all students can succeed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
