Job description

Your work days are brighter here.
At Workday, it all began with a conversation over breakfast. When our founders met at a sunny California diner, they came up with an idea to revolutionize the enterprise software market. And when we began to rise, one thing that really set us apart was our culture. A culture which was driven by our value of putting our people first. And ever since, the happiness, development, and contribution of every Workmate is central to who we are. Our Workmates believe a healthy employee-centric, collaborative culture is the essential mix of ingredients for success in business. That’s why we look after our people, communities and the planet while still being profitable. Feel encouraged to shine, however that manifests: you don’t need to hide who you are. You can feel the energy and the passion, it's what makes us unique. Inspired to make a brighter work day for all and transform with us to the next stage of our growth journey? Bring your brightest version of you and have a brighter work day here.
About the Team
Workday is recognised globally as a leading employer and we’re growing in the UK at a rapid pace. The shift to the cloud among the region’s largest organisations is driving demand for the very solutions Workday was built to solve. Our aim is to bring a brighter work day to all of our customers and their people and to support this mission, we’re looking to bring into the UKI team a Senior Marketing Manager who can creatively and successfully be both a strategist and hands on participant in how we engage with our top accounts.
About the Role
As our Senior Account Based Marketing (ABM) Manager for the UKI region you’ll have a real chance to create a measurable impact to secure new revenue opportunities as part of a fun and innovative team. Our cross-functional relationships and sense of collaboration is something we’re very proud of and success is something we definitely celebrate together.
Essentially, this role is accountable for leading the development, implementation, management and measurement of targeted account-focused programs in the region with a specific focus on driving pipeline creation and acceleration within the account base.
Responsibilities
  • Be the primary liaison between sales and corporate marketing, partnering with all team members to build comprehensive 1:1 or 1: few account-Based Marketing plans for a fixed set of strategic accounts.
  • Ensure that all marketing programs in plan are aligned with the corporate vision, themes, and brand guidelines.
  • Drive territory planning focused on helping sales sell account-appropriate offerings, including the suite of Workday software, add-on and cross-sell products.
  • Focus on the buyers’ journey. Deliver the right program and content at the right time.
  • Tailor ABM programs and messaging to align to prospect, customer and industry-specific initiatives, business objectives or unique challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with Regional Marketing, Global Campaigns, Partner Marketing, Events Marketing, and Solutions Marketing as key corporate programs, to assist in creating and accelerating pipeline.
  • Review performance metrics with a keen eye on return on investment. Ensure that each marketing activity is tracked and measured. Use data and dashboards to inform future programs.
  • Be flexible. Address the ongoing demand for opportunistic and ad hoc marketing needs of the sales teams in response to health of the pipeline.
  • Share metrics and reporting to advise broader teams of best-practices.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
  • Currently in a similar role and you’re able to outline on your application a track record of success in relevant activities.
  • Strong EQ, self awareness and demonstrable track record in dealing with executives.
  • Recent experience in a fast growth, SaaS cloud native environment is very important. Experience in enterprise level software is great, but not crucial.
  • Knowledge of cloud based solutions.
Other Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication with a particular emphasis on collaboration and partnering for a joint outcome.
  • High energy; highly productive with strong self-starter initiative.
  • Outstanding organisational, budget, project and leadership skills.
  • And last of all, you hold yourself to a set of values that align with ours. We’re a purpose driven organisation and we seek like minded Workmates. Be sure to check out our values.

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
Are you being referred to one of our roles? If so, ask your connection at Workday about our Employee Referral process!
