Senior Accountant

A growing, highly reputable and successful firm of chartered accountants based in Bridgwater is searching for a qualified, or QBE Senior Accountant to join their team as a key addition, taking on the management and hands on delivery of accounts, tax and wider services to wide ranging clients with increasing responsibility, development and progression on offer within the firm and role.

Based in Bridgwater this chartered firm is highly regarded acting for very wide ranging clients across varying industries acting for wider ranging industry sector OMBs, SMEs and corporate limited company clients, along with acting for smaller sole trader and partnerships. The culture is very team orientated with long serving staff.

Description

Joining as Senior Accountant based in their Bridgwater offices you will be hands on delivering services across the preparation of sole trader and partnership accounts and limited company statutory financial statements, preparing corporation tax computation calculations and tax planning, VAT and management Accounts. You will also utilise cloud accounting tools to process transactions, prepare and post journals, update all ledgers, perform bank reconciliations ready for the monthly reporting process, maintain records of their clients using accounting software packages including QuickBooks, Xero and Sage. You will have involvement in training and assisting/mentoring the development of the more junior staff members and trainees. As you develop within the firm and role you will take on increasing responsibility for developing client relationships, taking on a portfolio and work on wider advisory, planning and business services in addition, delivering on wider project work working with partners and progressing technically and in level. You will act as key support to the firms directors and you will carve an influential key role within this firm with progression on offer.

Profile

There is potential to mould this requirement around the right persons experience and background so you could be ACA/ACCA qualified, recently qualified with one to two years or more post qualified experience under your belt, or already with several years or more, post qualified experience. Finally, you may be qualified by experience only. You must bring a career background delivering services across any of accounts/tax/audit etc and all around, general accountancy practice services to wide ranging sole trade, partnership and limited company clients, developed within an accountancy practice firm environment to around the Senior Accountant levels.

Job Offer

Circa £26,000 - £32,000 dependent on the background experience and level of the right professional, plus benefits.
