Senior Accountant - Home Based/Hybrid - 14 months GBP237 per day

An exciting opportunity for a CCAB (or similar) qualified Senior Accountant to work for one of our leading Public Sector organisations. You will be responsible for, but not limited to, providing financial support and advice for medium and longer term financial planning and supporting the nominated service department in both capital and revenue budget preparation and monitoring

Essential skills

• CCAB qualified accountant or equivalent
• Experience of providing financial advice and preparing and monitoring budgets in a complex organisation.
• Experience of presenting financial information to senior managers.
• Experience of working within Local Government finance.
• Preparing information and reporting on financial performance.
• Preparation and monitoring of complex budgets.
• Competent in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Involvement in preparation of annual accounts.
