Macildowie are pleased to be partnered with a thriving client in the Rugby, Warwickshire area who are recruiting for an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant to 'take the bull by the horns' in a fast-paced, office-based Full-time and Permanent position. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be part of a team of 5 within the Accounts function and share a harmonious office environment with the rest of your commercial colleagues. This is the type of company where the Directors treat all employees equally, with respect, and occassionally treat the team with 'extras'!
Responsibilities:
- Accurately process a high volume of Purchase Ledger invoices (around 150-200 per week) and deal with any payment queries promptly
- Weekly payment runs (BACS)
- Supplier statement reconciliations to creditor accounts
- Maintenance and verification of supplier accounts
- Create GRNs and match to PO
- Matching, coding invoices with the correct POs onto the system
What we need from you:
- Existing Purchase Ledger/Accounts Payable/Accounts Assistant experience
- To be comfortable interacting with suppliers, Managers, and the Purchasing team to get any issues/queries resolved
- A practical individual who is enthusiastic and does not enjoy twiddling their thumbs!
- Work to tight deadlines and communicate effectively (must be persistent)
