About the job
An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen in the Children’s Services Finance Team as a Senior Administrative Assistant. This is a full time post working 37 hours each week. Monday to Friday.
Duties include staff supervision, recruitment and training, work planning, provision of advice and guidance to various social worker teams within the service in relation to financial and other assistance requests, setting up payment methods and alerts within various systems, approval and progressing the payment of invoices, dealing with queries from both suppliers and clients, reconciliation of accounts, operation of a petty cash account, travel and accommodation solutions, responses to complaints / FOI and support for budget holders and managers.
Requests will involve both responsive and planned finance. In areas of care and support, safety, protection, children looked after and No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF).
What We Are Looking For From You
Financial experience is expected, as is the ability to provide clear financial information. The use of SAP and ADAM (Direct Payment System) would be advantageous along with main database management systems (currently using CareFirst management system) and Microsoft Office. The post requires the ability to be flexible and willingness to contribute to the ongoing development of the financial service and team members.
The post is considered for a combination of working from the office and from home.
