About the job
We’re looking for a Senior Analyst to elevate our Strategy & Insights team. This role is not just about numbers; it's about shaping the future of the automotive industry! In this diverse role, you will conduct analysis of vast datasets to contribute valuable consumer, retailer and market insights that will influence the industry and the strategic direction of Auto Trader.
This is a highly analytical and diverse role, encompassing market intelligence, consumer research, competitor monitoring, and more. Not only will you be focussing on the car market, you’ll also specialise on the non-car side of the business, helping to reveal the latest market dynamics and the biggest forces impacting vans, bikes, and other non-car segments over the coming years.
You'll focus on consumer insights, developing and runningconsumer research projects to deliver actionable insights which have an impact on the performance of and products developed by Auto Trader. You'll also cover industry and customer engagement insights, transforming analysis into clear outputs that inform the industry of market developments, this includes the creation of market intelligence reports and webinars, along with other communication channel's to share insights far and wide. Your data will get so much visibility and therefore create and drive action!
Analysing the impact of market forces to help inform strategic decisions will also encompass part of this role, such as analysing the transition to electric vehicles, to the impact of supply constraints. You'll also look at market intelligence and the competitor landscape, understanding and monitoring new market developments such as new manufactures or the competitor landscape to drive informed decision making. You'll have access to in-house and external data sources to capture your analysis

What we're looking for
- Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting data (likely on excel) to drive clear and informative findings, identifying the numbers and insights that are most valuable for the relevant stakeholders
- Proficiency in building narratives from data, pulling together data points into a convincing and coherent story
- A creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to think around problems and piece information together
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills to interact and present credibly with a wide range of stakeholders
- Composure when confronting challenges, taking a systematic, organised, and collaborative approach to problems
- An enthusiastic approach and a can-do attitude
- Proficiency in Looker, with the ability to navigate dashboards, explore data, and create visualisations for insightful reporting

We're offering a salary of £40,000-£50,000, and a flexible benefits package to support your health and well-being.
