Senior Applications Architect - Power Platform (Daily Rate Contract -

One of our major Public Sector clients have an opening for a Senior Applications Architect. This is an initial 3-year Daily Rate Contract for a Dublin-based company and will be a hybrid role. An extensive Power Platform background and experience developing digital cloud solutions are essential requirements.

This role will see you redesign existing case management applications in addition to designing new applications to take full advantage of the capabilities of Power Platform to deliver an improved end user experience. Activities will include the full end to end development process in an agile environment, from early design and prototyping to development using managed sprints, bug fixing, code management and release, and end user support.

Key Deliverables:

• Engage with and Support the Information management and Technology (IM&T) team, Support teams, Engineering teams and stakeholders within the wider Public Sector and 3rd party suppliers and vendors, to prioritise business goals, information needs and requirements in order to select, architect and deliver the best solutions, technology and value to the organisation.
• Designing and architecting new application platforms across the Departments software and applications environment, whilst being cognisant of interdependencies in the overall environment.
• Interpreting project and user requirements through formal and informal meetings, documentation reviews and communicating with stakeholders and management to evaluate all options to identify potential solutions to be architected.
• Providing clear architectural documentation, schematics, project workflows and roadmaps for the business and IM&T division.
• Participation in the development and migration projects of new and existing platforms and systems, e.g. case management solutions from Lotus Notes to PowerApps.
• Recommending operational controls by identifying problems and introducing and documenting improved procedures.
• Publishing progress reports on projects and actively monitoring project progress of architected solutions.
• Providing Subject Matter Expertise on key Microsoft technologies including: PowerApps, PowerBI, PowerApps or equivalent to ensure the best solutions are adopted and implemented to meet organisation objectives and technical requirements.

You must have experience in:

• Leading the architecture, design and development of Microsoft Application platforms and frameworks or equivalent, from the project initiation phase and throughout the Agile Software Development Lifecycle to support business transformation and technological change.
• Developing applications and platforms in technologies, such as MS Power Platform, SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent CRM custom configuration solutions.
• Experience in development technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, Azure, JQuery, JavaScript, .Net, Angular, React and RESTful Web Services.
• Communicating clearly and effectively to stakeholders both technical and non-technical, at different levels, including senior management.
