Senior Art Director

As part of our divergence into exciting new fields, we are currently seeking two Senior Art Directors on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract basis to join our team based in London. In this role, you will have opportunity to translate brand needs into distinctive visual outcomes across all touchpoints - from brand activation through to digital, UI/UX, POS, and all points in between, you will no doubt share our excitement for the possibilities of omni-channel design and execution, and have the experience to bring that to bear for our global, FMCG client base.

Of course, you will know how to challenge a brief and produce exceptional work, and maintain the brand experience across all channels, but in addition you this will also lead others against the brief, ensuring our creative thinking goes deeper, and that our execution is powerfully consistent.

Ideally you will have an omnichannel design background at the senior level, with an emphasis on work within the retail space. However if your experience comes from another domain, we would still love to talk to you to see how you can help us think differently.

In this role you will:

• Guide others to strengthen their work, deepen their creativity, and challenge the brief more thoroughly.
• Consult with Client Services to understand the client need, adding insight and richness to the design brief.
• Advise on resource and timings when needed.
• Be a team player - actively helping others stay on track, being a support for their creativity, managing expectations and risk when things change.
• Produce creative that challenges and moves beyond the brief, is embedded in the insight and is activated with powerful consistency.
• Present with confidence and clarity and objectivity, enabling debate, taking on board the views of others and positively giving feedback to drive improvement.

You will have:

• 4-8 years experience within a Design agency, ideally gained across multiple channels and within retail.
• Emerging client presentation skills, discussing, defending design
• Stakeholder management and influencing
• Understanding of strategic, creative and commercial aspect of brands and the world they inhabit
• Coaching and mentoring skills
• Deep understanding of print production, materials and finishes
• Adobe CC, Office but also understand the power of a sketch
• A degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, Illustration or related field
