Rate: £25.29 umbrella an hour

Contract: Initial 3 months

The successful applicant must have full subsidy workbook knowledge and proven Assessment experience and up to date knowledge.
This is a 3 month contract in a busy Assessment Centre dealing with technical areas of benefit including Subsidy, Supported Accommodation, rent increases and filing returns and ensuring DWP targets are met.

JOB PURPOSE:

To assist the Assessment Centre manager in the effective leadership, management, development and improvement of a quality, efficient, effective, secure, customer focused and responsive e Assessment Centre. This requires ensuring compliance with all relevant acts, regulations, council policies and best practices together with ensuring that all associated service policies, practices and procedures are administered and developed in line with service and corporate objectives.

Responsible for the daily management and leadership of a specific area of responsibility and team of staff in one of the following areas:

• Assessment
• Welfare and visiting
• Payment and control

Providing cover as required for the other teams.

To work effectively with the Council's Customer Services and Social Care teams along with other internal and external partners to deliver excellent outcomes for customers and achieve excellence in service provision.
