The Role
The Associate role is responsible for a blend of process consulting, relationship management, and business development. The Associate is our primary “face to the client”. The individuals who we hire for this role are experienced professionals who can draw upon their subject matter expertise, have the ingenuity to apply their knowledge through innovative process solutions, have the creativity to communicate complex processes, and the emotional intelligence to guide the client and manage change across an organization.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
Subject Matter Expertise
- Maintain knowledge of planning processes, methodologies, metrics, analytics, and expertise in the practical application of effective planning practices
- Build and enhance subject matter expertise through educational opportunities, research, and experience with clients and project
Process Evaluation
- Analyze and document planning process steps, process flow, process cadence, stakeholder participation across functional areas, and financial/ strategic integration
- Review process content including meeting content, data visualizations, metrics / performance indicators, scorecards / dashboards, and other process templates
- Analyze and evaluate planning related data structures, data models, calculations, supply and demand planning methodologies, and performance metrics
- Assess the application of enabling technology, including planning applications, collaboration tools, and business intelligence within planning processes
- Provide assessments, options analysis and recommendations to the client, and facilitate the review process
Process Design
- Design new and/ or improved processes, applying ibp2’s effective planning practices content
- Develop new practical applications of planning best practice based on business experience, process theory, and industry best practices
- Document new and/ or improved data content, visualizations, metrics/ performance indicators, and scorecards/ dashboards to drive collaboration, insights, and decision making
Change Management
- Develop training content that supplements the process documentation
- Perform training and prepare client resources to support the new/ improved planning processes
- Organize client stakeholder analysis & actively manage organizational change through relationship building, education, and targeted actions designed to build support for the adoption of the new/ improved processes
- Conduct impact analysis on client roles & responsibilities and develop content designed to bridge stakeholder and participant roles from the old to the new/ improved processes
Relationship and Engagement Management
- Develop and maintain client relationships that build trust and confidence in ibp2
- Sustain awareness of scope and deliverables to ensure ibp2 is meeting client expectations
- Identify gaps/ changes to scope and communicate any observations to ibp2 management
- Proactively identify opportunities for incremental scope on current engagements and/ or expanded opportunities within the client’s company (i.e. with other functions or departments)
Business Development & Administrative
- Identify qualified leads to ipb2 management and actively participate in sales cycles as needed
- Provide input to the Statement of Work (SOW) on new extension/ expansion engagements
- Maintain accurate/ complete records of billable time
- Complete/ submit expense reports in a timely manner
Data & Solutions Acumen
- Gather, evaluate, and understand multiple data structures from a variety of departments
- Represent ibp2 products/services to existing and prospective clients
- Collect, translate, and evolve planning related data structures, data models, calculations, supply and demand planning methodologies, and analytics to support ibp2 products that aid in process development
The Candidate
- 4+ years of experience working in demand planning, supply planning or S&OP
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced startup environment
- Strong written and verbal communication with outside stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work at the intersection of process, data, tools, and technology
- Effective interpersonal skills with an emphasis on teamwork and dedication to the customer
