An exciting opportunity has emerged to recruit a Senior Attendance Enforcement Officer on a permanent, full-time basis to join the PRU, Inclusion and Attendance Service (PIAS) Attendance Enforcement Team.
The Attendance Enforcement Team provide advice to attendance and inclusion practitioners on school attendance matters. The team are responsible for the Council’s statutory duties in relation to unsatisfactory school attendance.
The core objective for the PIAS is that all children and young people are engaged, thrive and achieve their potential through academic and vocational education through regular school attendance.
PIAS sits within the Education & SEND division of Kent County Council’s Children, Young People and Education (CYPE) directorate. PIAS works with a wide range of schools and practitioners within and external to KCC with the core aim of reducing levels of persistent and severe absence, suspension and permanent exclusion experienced by pupils across the county.
As a Senior Attendance Enforcement Officer you will review cases in line with the Code for Crown Prosecutors, present cases on behalf of Kent County Council at Court and deal with enquiires from colleagues in our service and partner agencies.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position.
